The Recovery Coach Ethics training course is an intensive two-day training designed to enable participants to explore the ethical dimensions and issues that a recovery coach may encounter as they promote recovery. The training will focus on the legal and moral issues that may surface while providing recovery coaching services. Training topics will include definition of recovery coach ethics, ICAADA Recovery Coach Code of Ethics, ethical responsibilities of recovery coaching, guidelines for ethical decision-making, and ethics of profession development. Training methods utilized will be lecturette-discussion, small group activities and skill practice.
Sixteen (16) Continuing Education Units will be awarded to Recovery Coach Ethics participants. This training meets the ethics education requirements for ICAADA’s Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach.
