There
are currently six
(6) classes of ICAADA membership: Regular Membership,
Sponsoring Membership, Student Membership, Emeritus
Membership, Disability, and Inactive Membership.
Qualifications are as follows:
A. Regular Membership is open to any
individual concerned with the problems of alcohol and other drug
abuse who is in agreement with and supportive of the Association's
mission. Regular members receive a significant discount on
certification fees and are entitled to vote at membership meetings
and in ICAADA elections. Regular Membership dues are $100.00

B. Sponsoring Membership is open to any
organization or entity concerned with the problems of alcohol and
other drug abuse and which is in agreement with the mission of the
Association. Sponsoring members are eligible to receive
reciprocal links on the ICAADA website, can advertise in our
newletter, and can place "Help Wanted" advertisements for free on
the "Employment Opportunities" section of our website, and other
special considerations from time to time from the Board, such as
space for displays at conferences and workshops, etc.

C. Student
Membership is open to individuals who are full-time students (minimum of
the equivalent of 15 quarter hours) at a college or
university or who are involved in full- or part-time internships; who are
concerned with the problems of alcohol and other drug
abuse ; and who are in agreement with Association's
mission. Student dues shall not exceed fifty percent of
ICAADA annual dues.
D. Emeritus
Membership is available to an ICAADA member who has served ICAADA with
distinction. The designation of with distinction will be
made by via nomination from a member and approval
by the Board of Directors. Emeritus Members have no dues.
E. Inactive Membership
is available by application to the ICAADA
Board to current ICAADA members who become incapable of continuing
to perform counseling duties due to disability and to members over
the age of 62 who are no
longer working in the addiction field. Individuals who meet
either of these criteria may apply to the Board for
this designation and must attest that they are no longer
working in the addiction field. The individual will maintain certification
by paying (25%) twenty-five percent of the current costs
for certification. Inactive Members have no dues.
